Port of Churchill, Canada's only northerly seaport is located about 966 kms. NorthEast of Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Port of Churchill was originally constructed in 1930-31 with a reproduction cost estimated at over $200,000,000. Capital expenditures in excess of $60,000,000 had been identified as necessary for the long term survival of the port.
